Mayor James A. McClinton’s Thoughts on Optimization Study Results
The Management Partners’ (MP) study that was released Friday contained a wealth of information, so I’m going to try and organize my response to cover the salient points. First of all, I want to thank the City Council for their vision in commissioning the study. Even though it was approved before I became Mayor, I would like to think that, had I still been a City Council member then, I would have voted for it. Mayor's Thoughts on Form of Government
The City Council is scheduled to debate and vote on whether to consider changing the current Strong Mayor form of Topeka’s government. Either form of government will succeed if you, the voters, elect decent, dedicated officials who are qualified and a good match for their jobs. No form of government will work if your officials are not working together.” Recent research... Click here for full document
